RULES Races will be conducted on the
North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, Mandeville,
LA
This
regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016. Prescriptions
of the US
Sailing, J/30 Class Rules, J/30 Mid-Winters Championship Sailing Instructions.
In the event of a conflict, the Sailing Instructions shall govern. Sailing
Instructions will be available at registration.
ENTRIES This
Regatta is open to any J/30 owner who is a member of the J/30 Class in good
standing, and has submitted a complete entry form and paid fees.
MEASUREMENT Measurements,
weigh in, and inspection shall be done on Friday, April 26, from 1700 hours to
2000 hrs. Local boats can be measured beforehand.
Sails
that have not already been stamped by J/30 Class measurement logo will be measured
at Pontchartrain Yacht Club between 1700 hrs to 2000 hrs.

Awards As soon as practical
SCORING The
Low-Point Scoring System of Appendix A of the Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016
will apply. Except that a boat’s total score will be the sum of her scores for
all races with 1 throw out of 6 or if more races are completed.
TROPHIES Trophies
will be awarded to the top three Skippers. The J/30 Mid-Winter Champion Perpetual
Trophy will be awarded to the First Place Skipper.
